How to Clean my Designer Banded Shutters

Hunter Douglas Designer Banded Shades are designed to require minimal care and cleaning. Necessary care may include regular dusting and periodic vacuuming.

• Regular, light dusting maintains a like-new appearance of your designer banded shades.. Do not use magnetic cleaners such as a dusting mitt on light-dimming fabrics as this will damage the light-dimming backing.
  
  
  
• Vacuum gently using the brush attachment on any vacuum cleaner.
  
  
  
• Use a can of compressed air or a hairdryer on the non-heat setting to dust off selected window coverings.
  
  

Dry environmental conditions in different parts of the country at various times of the year may generate static on fabric home furnishings—including window coverings. Should this occur, lightly apply a static spray for home furnishings, being sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Allow the shade/shading to dry in the fully lowered position.
